Bucknell Field Hockey Falls To Lock Haven 6-0

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Bucknell field hockey team fell to Lock Haven 6-0 Tuesday in Lock Haven, Pa. The Bison recorded their second straight loss, dropping to 4-3 on the year, while the Eagles improved to 4-3.
Bucknell allowed five first-half goals while being outshot 13-1. Lock Haven's Blair Wynne recorded three of her four goals in the opening half. Senior Emily Groendyke (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees) collected six saves in 53 minutes for the Bison. Senior Heather Rogers (Wyoming, Del./Caesar Rodney) and freshman Megan Krebs (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) accounted for the team's shot total with one apiece.
In the second half, the Bucknell defense allowed just one goal and held the Eagles to just two shots in the frame. The Orange and Blue were outshot in the match, 15-2, while losing the advantage in penalty corners, 6-5.
Bucknell will be back on the road Saturday, Sept. 23, when it travels to Washington, D.C., to battle Georgetown. The match will begin at 12 p.m.
