Nine Bucknell Women's Golfers Named to Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's golf team had nine student-athletes named to the Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll last week. The nine members honored were the second-most by any team in the conference.
To be named to the Presidential Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 or better for the recently completed academic year.
Nine of the 14 members of the Bison women's golf roster were honored by the Big South. The average cumulative GPA of the team during the spring semester was a sparkling 3.23.
"It's a great honor for me to have such wonderful and hard-working student-athletes," commented Bucknell head coach Kevin Jamieson. It was awesome last year being recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top 10 universities in terms of offering one of the best educations and the opportunity to play Division I golf. However, as a coach, it means a lot more that for the second year in a row we've put nine players on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll. We continue to prove that Bucknell University is a wonderful place to earn a great education, while also being offered the opportunity to play one of the toughest schedules in the Northeast."
Elsewhere around the conference, Holy Cross led the way with 10 Honor Roll members; Birmingham Southern had eight, while Coastal Carolina and High Point had seven each. Winthrop (6), Charleston Southern (3) and Radford (3) rounded out the list.
