Bison Men's Golf Places 8th at Lafayette Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Charlie Waddell shot an even-par 71 on Saturday, but the Bison struggled as a team and slipped to an eighth-place finish at the Lafayette Invitational, which wrapped up Saturday at Center Valley G.C.
Bucknell started the day in sixth place after an opening-round 304, but the Orange & Blue shot 312 on Saturday and fell two spots in the team standings.
Waddell's rounds of 75-71 placed him in a three-way tie for fourth place, four shots behind Bryan Bigley of Siena (72-70).
Also for the Bison on Saturday, Keita Aoki shot 77, Kyle Moran 81, and Patrick Yingling and Alex Dolle 83.
American backed up its opening-round 297 with a 298 on Saturday and won the event by six shots over St. Bonaventure. Niagara (606), Siena (606), Robert Morris (611), Delaware (612) and Binghamton (615) also finished ahead of Bucknell.
The Bison did finish ahead of Patriot League rivals Lafayette (621), Lehigh (626) and Colgate (639) in the 23-team field.
Bucknell returns to action on Monday at George Washington's tournament in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
