Bison Men's Tennis Downs Washington College 5-2 for First Win of the Season

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The Bucknell men's tennis team picked up their first win of the season on Friday, defeating Washington College 5-2 in Chestertown, Md. The Bison gave a convincing performance against the Shormen winning two of three doubles matches and four of six singles contests.
At two doubles, Matt Pikus and Ira Reibeisen bested Mike Edison and Asfand Farouk, 8-6. On the third court, Gerald DiChiara and Garrett Neff clinched the doubles point for the Bison with a 9-7 win over Ronen Kashvin and Maciek Prytula.
In singles, Reibeisen notched his second win on the day defeating Farouk at two singles, 6-2, 6-2. Nick Denefrio won his match a three singles over Tim Riskie, 6-3, 6-3. Pikus was another double winning besting Prytula at four singles, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2. At six singles, Joe Menezes managed to come back from a set down to defeat Kashvin, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2.
The Bison men, who are now 1-4 on the season, will be back on the court tomorrow in Chestertown, Md. with a match against Richmond. The contest is set for Saturday at 2 p.m.
