Bucknell Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes Third at the Bucknell Damon's Trials/Finals Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's swimming and diving squad finished up competition in the two-day Bucknell Damon's Trials/Finals Invitational on Sunday as the Bison took third in team scoring with 790.5 points. James Madison captured first in the meet with 905 points, Old Dominion was second with 840 and Binghamton finished fourth with 741.5.
Senior Adam Freeman (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) was the lone event winner for the Bison on day two as he claimed the top spot in the three-meter dive with a mark of 270.80, while freshman Jeffrey Manning (Bringhurst, Ind./Carroll Jr./Sr. High) followed in fourth with a mark of 221.25.
Bucknell's 400 free relay squad of sophomores John Peterman (Conestoga, Pa./Penn Manor), Grant Steadman (Richmond, Va./Collegiate), Bradford Bennett (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) and junior Ian Rawhauser (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) finished third with a time of 3:13.50 and the 200 medley relay team of freshman Mark Kawczenski (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Hanover Area), Bennett, senior Mark Kretzer (Northport, N.Y./Harborfields) and Rawhauser came in fourth with a time of 1:36.64.
Rounding out the top swimming performances for the Bison on day two were fifth place finishes by freshman Nicholas Hanes (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) in the 200 back (1:57.75), Rawhauser in the 100 free (47.55) and Steadman in the 100 fly (52.83).
Bucknell returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 3, when the team will travel to Baltimore, Md., to take on University of Maryland-Baltimore County beginning at 5 p.m.
