American Blanks Bucknell 5-0 in Patriot League Field Hockey Action

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - American's Maggie Hall netted three goals in the first half to lead her team to a 5-0 victory over Bucknell on Saturday at the campus of the University of Maryland. Bucknell falls to 4-5 on the season, 0-1 in Patriot League play.
Bucknell goalie Liz Jordan held strong in the cage against a solid American offensive attack making 24 saves on the day. American's Allison Fayfich recorded seven saves for the Eagles.
American outshot Bucknell 37 to 10 and topped the Bison in total penalty corners with nine to Bucknell's eight. Meiko Boynton and Alex Kyzmir led the Bison with three shots apiece.
The Bison return home to Graham Field on Tuesday to take on the La Salle Explorers at 6 p.m. Bucknell resumes Patriot League action against Colgate next Saturday at 12 p.m. at Graham Field.
