Bison Field Hockey Drops Another Close Game to Lafayette

EASTON, Pa. - For the third time in the last four games, the Bucknell field hockey squad lost by a single goal to drop to 5-10 on the season, 1-3 in Patriot League play. Lafayette's Jenna Bratz scored the game's lone goal to get the Leopards the 1-0 victory on Saturday in Easton, Pa.
Bratz scored at 29:18 into the game on a Leopard penalty corner with an assist from teammate Missy Farrand.
Bucknell outshot Lafayette 22 to 12 on the day, peppering shots at Leopard goalie Jill Lambert who came up with 13 saves. Bison goalie Liz Jordan grabbed five saves in the loss.
Junior Kelly O'Brien led the Bison offensive attack with seven shots. Sophomore Callista Costopoulos attempted four shots on the day.
The Bison return home to Graham Field for two games next week. The first on Tuesday, Oct. 19 against Towson at 6 p.m. The Bison then take on Lehigh in Patriot League play on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
