Bucknell Men's Soccer Opens Patriot League Play with 3-0 Win at Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Sophomore Scott Visnic scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season, and senior Chris Beekman added his third of the year, as the Bucknell men's soccer team opened Patriot League play with a 3-0 victory at Army on Friday, September 26.
Visnic, who has scored in four of Bucknell's last five games, got the Bison on the board with 19:09 gone in the contest. The speedy forward took breakaway passes from junior Michael Lookingland II and classmate Eric Brunton to notch his eighth career goal.
The Orange and Blue made it 2-0 before halftime when Visnic struck again from five yards out with 29:39 gone on the clock. Junior Jonathan Hemmert and Brunton were both credited with assists on the play.
Bucknell tacked one on for good measure just four minutes into the second half when Hemmert set Beekman up for his score. With the assist, Hemmert moved into eighth place on the Bucknell career assists list with 14.
The Bison, 4-4 overall and 1-0 in conference action, continue play on the road with a 2:00 p.m. game at Monmouth on Sunday, September 28. Army falls to 2-4-2 overall and 0-1 in Patriot League play.
