Bucknell Men's Golf Finishes 22nd at Navy Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Bucknell men's golf team finished in 22nd place in a 23-team field at the Navy Invitational over the weekend. Freshman Tom Lane was Bucknell's low man, shooting 79 and 77 to finish in a tie for 56th.
Bucknell shot 330 on Sunday after a first-round 328.
Host Navy overcame an 11-shot deficit at the start of the second round to win the tournament in a tiebreaker over first-round leader Johnson and Wales. Both teams finished at 581 for the tournament. Georgetown was third, just two shots back.
Abbie Valentine joined Lane in the 70s for the Bison on Sunday. Valentine carded a 79 for a 36-hole total of 160. Ben Pellicani shot 170 (84-86), Brian Troast 175 (84-91) and Chris Martinez 176 (88-88) for BU.
Navy's Brian Crum was the individual winner at 139 (70-69), one shot better than teammate Billy Hurley, who fired a tournament-best 67 on Sunday.
The Bison return to action next weekend at the Lafayette Invitational.
