The December and January awards were announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Thursday, Feb. 6. Sponsored by K.I.C.K.S. Almind is the third leading scorer for the Bison with 212 points for the season. She averages 15.1 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. The junior needs 63 points to become the 14th player in school history, and the fifth player in the last four years, to eclipse 1,000 career points.
Creamer, now with 2,226 career points, had a record-setting month in January. At 2,076 career points, she broke the Patriot League all-time scoring record, and in the same game Creamer broke the PL single-season consecutive free-throws made record, making 34. She broke the Bucknell all-time scoring record with her 2,113th career point. On Friday, Jan. 31, Creamer broke Colgate's home court single-game scoring record with 37 points.
The Bucknell women's basketball team owns a 9-10 overall record and is 4-3 in the Patriot League. The Bison will start the second half of the league season when they visit American on Saturday, Feb. 8 with a 3:15 p.m. start time.
