LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) has picked up weekly Patriot League honors for the fifth time this season for the week ending February 2, 2003. It is Creamer's 13th weekly honor of her career.
Creamer led Bucknell to a 1-1 record last weekend, averaging 35.0 points per game. The 5-10 guard opened the weekend with a Cotterell Court record 37point effort in a 70-62 victory at Colgate on Friday. The co-captain also added eight rebounds and six steals in the win over the Raiders.
In an 86-76 loss at Holy Cross on Sunday, Creamer scored 33 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists. With her scoring effort against the Crusaders, the All-America candidate became the Patriot League's overall all-time leading scorer (men's and women's) with 2,226 points, passing Holy Cross' Rob Feaster (2,224).
Following her solid scoring performances of the weekend, Creamer is leading the country with 27.5 points per game. Her 5.9 assists per game are tops in the Patriot League.
The Bison are currently 9-10 overall and 4-3 in Patriot League play. Bucknell is in action next when it travels to American to begin the second half of league play on Saturday, February 8. Tip-off is slated for 3:15 p.m.
