Bucknell Men's Golf Ties for 7th at Colgate Invitational

HAMILTON, N.Y. - First-year players Tom Lane and Ben Pellicani carded matching scores of 151 to help lead Bucknell to a tie for seventh place at the Colgate Invitational in the Bison's first outing of the season.
Bucknell as a team shot 309 and 314 to tie with American for seventh place in the 22-team field. Binghamton (589) won the event for the third straight year, holding off runner-up Lehigh by two strokes.
Lane shot 78 on Sunday after opening with a one-over-par 73, while Pellicani shot 75-76 in his collegiate debut.
Abbie Valentine tied for 44th place after rounds of 80 and 78. Alex Dolle went 81-82 and Rich Petroni 81-84 for the Bison.
Binghamton's Joe Kunz defeated Lehigh's Rob McMenimon on the first playoff hole to capture medallist honors. Both golfers finished at 146 after 36 holes.
The Bison host the Bucknell Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
