Bison Men's Golfer Valentine Tied for First After Day One at Bucknell Invite

LEWISBURG, Pa. - After one day of competition at the Bucknell Invitational, junior Abbie Valentine stands in a four-way tie for first place with an opening round 71 on Friday, September 13. As a team, the Bucknell Blue team is in third place out of 16 teams with a 302 on day one. Bucknell's Orange squad stands in 16th place with a 325.
Valentine, playing for the Blue squad, led the Bison charges with his one over par 71. Freshman Pat Pippo led the Orange team with a 75, good for a tie for 14th individually.
As a team, the Blue team is just 12 strokes off the leader, Binghamton (288). Colgate stands between the two schools in second with a 297 after the first day.
The final day of play resumes on Saturday, September 14, at 8:45 a.m.
