Bucknell Men's Tennis Earns 5-2 Win at Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Bison men's tennis squad earned a 5-2 win at Robert Morris on the strength of two doubles wins and four singles victories. Bucknell played the Colonials on Sunday, September 29.
In doubles play, the duo of senior Todd Jacobs and sophomore Nick Denefrio teamed up to defeat Mamoun El Kettani and Web Yeardie, 8-4, at the second flight. The Orange and Blue earned a forfeit at number three doubles to claim the doubles point.
Sophomore Joe Menezes got the singles wins started with a tough three set match against Youssef Tlemcani, defeating the Colonial 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 at number three. Jacobs followed with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Chris McAfee at the fourth flight, before freshman Asher Salam defeated Yeardie, 6-2, 6-3, at number five. Sophomore Gerald DiChiara earned a victory at number six by default for Bucknell's final point.
The Bison are 1-1 overall and are in action next when they host Franklin & Marshall for a 1:00 p.m. match on Saturday, October 5.
