Bucknell Men's Golf Places 18th at Navy Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell completed the second and final day of competition at the Navy Spring Invitational Sunday afternoon, and finished 18th out of 21 schools with a 682-stroke score.
After shooting 343 on the first day, the Bison recorded a 339 this afternoon. The University of Minnesota won the team title with a score of 605. Navy (614) and Princeton (625) rounded out the team scoring.
Senior Dan Gale was Bucknell's top individual finisher. Gale tied for 56th in the 113-competitor field after shooting 83 on the first day and 84 this afternoon for a 36-hole total of 167. Not far behind Gale was sophomore Abbie Valentine, who tied for 66th with a score of 169 (84, 85).
Rounding out Bucknell's team scoring were sophomores Scott Leeder and Charles Markey. Leeder finished in a tie for 83rd at 173 (86, 87), while Markey tied for 88th with a 174-stroke (90, 84) effort. Freshman Alex Dolle also competed and shot 176 (90, 86) to tie for 93rd.
The Bison continue their season April 13-14 at the Lafayette Invitational.
