Bucknell Men's Golf Concludes Spring Season at Delaware

MIDDLETOWN, Del. - Bucknell shot a 314 on the second day of the Scotty Duncan Memorial, hosted by the University of Delaware at Frog Hollow GC, and the Bison finished seventh among 12 schools in the team's final competition of the spring season Sunday afternoon.
The Bison recorded a 310 on the opening day of the invitational and finished with a 624-stroke mark for the 36-hole tournament. Navy won the team title with a 587.
Abbie Valentine closed out his rookie season with the Bison by taking 16th out of 59 golfers. Valentine, who checked in a third place with a 73 after the first 18 holes, shot 79 on Sunday for a final score of 152. He finished eight strokes behind individual champion Nick Rogers (Navy), who shot 144 to edge out Thomas Blankvoort (George Washington) and Josh Upton (Towson) by one stroke.
Scott Leeder was Bucknell's next lowest finisher. The sophomore tied for 26th with a 156 (77-79). Tying for 29th at 157 (79-78) was Alex Dolle, while Dan Gale tied for 38th to complete Bucknell's scoring with a 159-stroke effort (81-78).
