Bucknell Men's Golf Tied for Seventh After First Day at Delaware

MIDDLETOWN, Del. - Abbie Valentine shot a two-over par 73 (37-36) and Bucknell is tied for seventh heading into the final day of the Scotty Duncan Memorial, hosted by the University of Delaware at the Frog Hollow G.C.
Valentine is currently tied for third in the 59-player field, and trails overall leaders Thomas Blankvoort (George Washington) and Patrick McCahill (Lehigh) by one stroke.
As a team, Bucknell recorded a 310-stroke score over the first 18 holes. The Bison are tied with Delaware, and trail Villanova (304), Towson (303), Washington & Lee (302), George Washington (301), Navy (298) and Lehigh (297).
Scott Leeder checks in at four strokes behind Valentine after shooting a 77 on day one. He is tied for 21st place.
Also competing for the Bison were Alex Dolle and Dan Gale. Dolle carded a 79, and is tied for 32nd, and Gale notched an 81 to tie for 43rd.
The Bison will conclude the invitational and the spring season with day two of the invitational tomorrow.
