LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell junior women's basketball player Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) is the latest college player to be featured in a question and answer session on the web site www.gballmag.com.
The site is devoted to junior high and high school aged players, and has featured question and answer sessions with college standouts Lindsey Yamasaki from Stanford and Ayana Walker of Louisiana Tech, to name a few. Also highlighted on the site have been several WNBA players, including former Rutgers star and current member of the New York Liberty, Sue Wicks.
Creamer completed her junior season with 695 points and a 22.4 ppg average, the highest single-season total and average by any Bucknell player in school history. The 5-10 guard was tabbed the Patriot League Player of the Year for the second-consecutive year, marking only the second time in conference history that a player earned the honor during her sophomore and junior seasons.
With 1,703 points to date, Creamer enters her final season with the chance to become the school and Patriot League's all-time leading scorer.
The Bison finished the year with a school record for wins, going 21-10 for their second-straight 20-win season. With an 88-74 win over four-time defending champion Holy Cross in the championship game of the conference tournament, the Orange and Blue brought home the program's first-ever Patriot League title and made the school's first trip to the Women's NCAA Tournament, falling to #2 seed Baylor in the East Regional first-round, 80-56.
