LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's basketball East Regional First Round game of the NCAA Tournament against Baylor will be carried live on the Bison Sports Network and can be heard on the network's flagship station, WVLY-FM (100.9) in Lewisburg.
Bison fans that have been following the team on the radio over the course of the season are reminded to take note of the station change. All of Bucknell's women's games have been aired on WMLP-AM (1380) to this point in the season.
In addition to airing the game live on the airwaves, the "Voice of the Bison", Doug Birdson, will also have a worldwide audience over the internet on the Bucknell athletics & recreation department Web site at www.BucknellBison.com. Bucknell qualified for its first-ever NCAA Championship appearance by winning the school's first women's basketball Patriot League Championship last Wednesday. The second-seeded Bison defeated top-seeded Holy Cross, 88-74, in Worcester, Mass., to earn the Patriot League's automatic bid.
