Bison Women Attempt to Make it Eight In a Row Against Visiting Navy

ABOUT THE NAVY GAME: Bucknell enters tonight's game against Navy with a 6-2 Patriot League record, tied for first in the league with Holy Cross and Lehigh, after a 79-67 triumph at Lafayette on Saturday.
The Mids carry a 10-11 overall record into the outing, and a 2-6 mark in the Patriot League. In its most recent action, Navy took four-time defending conference champion Holy Cross to the wire, dropping a tough 62-60 decision at home. Of the Mids six Patriot League losses, four have been decided by three points or less.
THE NAVY SERIES: Navy leads in the series between the two schools, 13-12, but it has been all Bucknell in the past seven meetings. The Midshipmen have not beaten the Bison in over three years. In the team's initial meeting this season, the Bison came away with a 69-52 victory at Navy.
Last season, the Orange and Blue defeated Navy both times the two teams met. Bucknell squeaked out a 60-57 victory in Annapolis, Md., in both team's Patriot League opener, before handing the Mids an 85-66 defeat at home in February.
Navy's last win came on January 6, 1999, when the Mids defeated Bucknell in overtime, 65-58, in Annapolis, Md.
SCOUTING NAVY: The Mids carry a 10-11 overall record and a 6-2 Patriot League mark into tonight's game. Despite dropping six conference contests, four of those losses have been decided by three points or less.
Navy is led by Courtney Davidson's 18.9 points per game, second in the league. Bryanna Herring leads the Mids on the glass with 6.7 rebounds per game.
