Women's Basketball Player and Bucknell Team Ranked Nationally

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell junior women's basketball player Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) is ranked among the nation's leaders in three categories in the latest national statistics release. In addition, the Bucknell team is ranked nationally in free throw percentage. The 2001-02 NCAA Women's Basketball statistics leaders were updated on Tuesday, February 26.
Creamer, who leads the team and the Patriot League in scoring and assists, is ranked fifth in the nation with her 22.7 scoring average. The junior has tallied 614 points in 27 games played this season and is the second highest scoring junior in the country. With 5.7 assists per game, Creamer stands at 34th in the country and is the only player in the nation to lead her conference in both points per game and assists per game.
In addition to her scoring and assists averages, Creamer is ranked nationally in free throw percentage. From the foul line, Creamer has been solid, making 63 of her last 67 attempts for a .859 clip, good enough for 31st in the country.
As a team, the Bucknell women's basketball team leads the Patriot League, and is ranked 22nd in the country, with a .751 free throw percentage.
The Bison own a record of 18-9 overall and 11-3 in the Patriot League. Bucknell enters the Patriot League tournament this weekend as the second-seed for the fourth-consecutive year. The Orange and Blue will face off against #7 Navy in the first round at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1.
