Bucknell Women's Basketball Player Molly Creamer Named Patriot League Player of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham), a member of the Bucknell University women's basketball team, has been tabbed the Patriot League Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, and the sixth time in the last seven weeks. Creamer earned the award for the week ending February 17.
Creamer continues her impressive play, putting together two solid all-around games in a 2-0 week for the Bison. The 5-10 guard averaged 30.5 points per game during the two-game span. As a team, the Bison picked up two home wins, handing visiting American a 90-79 defeat, before picking up a 96-69 victory against Colgate to end the week and extend their win-streak to five games.
In the American contest, Creamer tallied 32 points for her sixth game this season with 30 or more points. The point guard shot an impressive 9-of-14 from the field and was 12-of-13 from the foul line. In addition to her points production, handed out six assists, grabbed five steals and pulled down five rebounds.
Against Colgate, Creamer tallied a double-double by halftime, going 9-for-11 from the floor in the opening frame for 21 points and 10 assists. She finished the game 13-of-16 from the floor for a game-high 29 points and 12 assists. The points-assists double-double is her fourth of the season and sixth in her career.
For the week, Creamer averaged 30.5 points per game, 9.0 assists per game, 4.5 rebounds per game and 4.0 steals per game. The floor general shot a sizzling 73.3% from the field, 42.9% from three-point territory, and was 93.3% from the free throw line.
She is leading the team and the Patriot League in scoring with 23.0 points per game, and her 26.8 points per game in Patriot League play are also tops. She also leads the conference in assists, both overall (5.88) and in league play (7.58).
The Bison are currently 17-8 overall and tied for first in the conference at 10-2. Bucknell travels to Holy Cross for a first-place showdown with the Crusaders on Tuesday, February 12. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
