Bison Suffer 4-1 Loss in Women's Soccer Action

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Tuesday afternoon, Bucknell women's soccer fell to Georgetown, 4-1. The Bison managed to capture one goal during an afternoon of pouring rain, but drop to a 6-8-2 record.
Georgetown managed to capture the first two goals of the game. The first netted shot for the Hoyas was at 5:23. Georgetown captured its second goal during the 19th minute.
At 36:25, the Bison captured their lone goal when senior Lauren Schwarz took advantage of a penalty kick. Georgetown also scored in the 39th and 71st minutes.
Senior goalkeeper Laurie Purse finished with five saves for the afternoon, while the Bison offense marked 11 shots against the Hoyas. Schwarz tallied a team-high five shots, including three shots on goal, for the Orange and Blue. Senior Tara Utchel launched four shots for the Bison.
Bucknell will host its final game of the season Saturday, Nov. 2 on West Field. The Bison will host Patriot League opponent Navy for a 1 p.m. start. Senior ceremonies will be presented before the match-up.
