Bucknell Women's Soccer Falls To American, 2-1

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Bucknell women's soccer scored one goal during the first half, but it was not enough to snatch a win. The Bison fell to Patriot League rival, American, 2-1, Saturday afternoon.
All the scoring was recorded during the first half of play. American scored the first goal of the afternoon 5:31 into the game. The Bison came back to score five minutes later. Annie Greenspun, with the help of Emily Keber, completed the goal at 10:15. American found the net one more time before the half during the 38th minute.
Senior goalkeeper Laurie Purse completed six saves for the afternoon.
Bucknell will travel back down to Washington, D.C., Tuesday, Oct. 29 for a 2:00 p.m. start against Georgetown. The Bison completed the week with a 6-7-2 overall record and are 1-4-1 the conference.
