Bison Women's Basketball Hosts Showdown with Defending Patriot League Champion Holy Cross

ABOUT THE HOLY CROSS GAME: Bucknell enters tonight's crucial game against four-time defending Patriot League champion Holy Cross with a 5-1 Patriot League record after a 71-63 triumph over visiting Lehigh on Saturday. The Bison are in sole possession of first place in the conference after the victory.
The Crusaders carry a 4-2 conference mark into tonight's contest, most recently defeating league newcomer, American, 78-61. With a win tonight, Holy Cross would end the first round of league play in a first place tie with the Orange and Blue.
THE HOLY CROSS SERIES: Holy Cross holds a commanding 21-4 lead in the series that began in 1991. Although Bucknell has only won four times against the Crusaders, three of those victories have come in the last six attempts at home. All four of the Orange and Blue wins against Holy Cross have come in Davis Gym.
The Bison met Holy Cross twice last season, falling to the Cross 76-53 in Lewisburg in the first meeting. The Crusaders also claimed the second meeting, a 66-63 decision in Worcester.
SCOUTING HOLY CROSS: The Crusaders carry a 13-6 overall record and a 4-2 mark in Patriot League play into tonight's game. In its most recent action, Holy Cross defeated Patriot League newcomer, American, 78-61. The Crusaders two league losses came against Army (68-67) and Lehigh (84-75 2OT) on the road.
Katie O'Keefe leads Holy Cross in the scoring column with 15.8 ppg. Three other players are averaging double-figures scoring: Amanda Abraham with 14.3 ppg, Maggie Fontana at 12.3 ppg, and Jeanette Paukert with 11.1 ppg.
