Bucknell Women Host Lehigh in Clash of League's Leaders

ABOUT THE LEHIGH GAME: Bucknell finds itself in a tie for first place in the league standings, entering the contest with an identical mark of 4-1 in Patriot League play with today's opponent, Lehigh. The Bison are 11-7 overall after falling at Colgate on Wednesday, 84-81.
Lehigh comes into this afternoon's game at 8-10 overall. The Mountain Hawks have had a great start to their conference ledger, knocking off defending champion Holy Cross and following that with their most recent victory over American.
THE LEHIGH SERIES: The Bison hold a slim 23-22 advantage in the series which began in 1977. In games contested in Davis Gymnasium, Bucknell carries a 13-8 lead, although Lehigh has been the upset victor in the last two meetings in Lewisburg.
The Orange and Blue have won four of the last six outings between the two schools. The Mountain Hawks only victories in the stretch were in Davis Gymnasium in the form of a 96-91 double overtime outcome in 2000, and a 74-67 game last year.
SCOUTING LEHIGH: The Mountain Hawks come into today's game with an overall record of 8-10 and a mark of 4-1 in the Patriot League. Lehigh's one league loss was at the hands of Colgate, the same team that handed Bucknell its only conference defeat this season.
Anne Tierney, the Patriot League's Preseason Player of the Year, leads the squad with 16.4 points per game. She is averaging nearly a double-double with a squad-best 9.9 rebounds per game. In conference play, Tierney has recorded a double-double in every game, averaging 18.2 ppg and 12.4 rpg.
