LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Planet Basketball dropped games Saturday and Sunday on their European Tour. The team, which contains two Bucknell women's basketball players, is now 1-2 after a 100-91 loss to Blankenberge and a 92-54 setback to Deerlijk. Both opponents are members of the Division I European League, the highest level of women's pro basketball in Europe.

Planet Basketball nearly rallied from a 21-point deficit in the loss to Blankenberge on Saturday. Bucknell's Kate Rounsley (Lock Haven, Pa./Lock Haven) led the team with 19 points.

Planet Basketball trailed only 20-17 after one quarter versus Deerlijk, but the powerful European squad that contained many players that competed in the 2000 Olympics pulled away for a 53-28 halftime lead.

Planet Basketball will continue play later this week in Belgium.
