
Women's Golf Finishes In 17th at William & Mary Invitational

Williamsburg, Va. - The women's golf team battled through rainy, windy conditions to a 17th place finish at the William & Mary Invitational on Sunday, April 1. The Bison finished with a two-day total of 701 (347-354) to beat out the William & Mary Gold squad and a team from the University of Pennsylvania.
Pacing the Orange and Blue was junior Hilary Mainka (Jenkintown, Pa./Germantown Academy) who finished in a tie for 61st place after shooting 86-87 during the two-day tournament. Sophomores Amy Jones (Pine Grove, Pa./Blue Mountain) and Molly Campbell (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) finished two-three for the Bucknell golf team with 36-hole totals of 175 and 176, respectively.
Rounding out the five individuals who scored for the Bison were sophomores Catherine Crews (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) and Jess Hetrich (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) in 78th and 80th place. Crews shot two rounds of 92 and 90 to finish with a total of 182. After a first round score of 87, Hetrich shot 96 in the rainy conditions on Sunday to finish with 183.
The Bucknell women's golf team will compete next weekend when they host their Spring Invitational at the Bucknell Golf Club on Saturday-Sunday, April 7-8.
