Bardunias Takes Home Fourth PL Golfer of the Week in 2025-26

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophia Bardunias tied the Patriot League single-season record with her fourth Patriot League Golfer of the Week Honor in 2025-26. Bardunias and Lehigh's Yuki Zhu were named Co-Golfers of the Week after both players tied for 21st place at the Rutgers University Invitational.
This is Bardunias' fourth award this season and seventh of her career. She won one award in the fall after a seventh-place finish at the Nittany Lion Invitational where she carded a round of two-under par. She earned awards this spring with a third-place finish at El Campeon Collegiate and an individual championship at the NKU Spring Fling.
At the Rutgers University Invitational, Bardunias fired a 235 (77-75-83) over the 54-hole tournament. She shot a six-over 77 in the first round followed by a four-over 75 in round two. Shemade two birdies in each of those rounds. She then finished with an 83 in the final round of play.
BArdunias and the Bison are set for the Patriot League Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, Maryland. The Bison tee off on Friday, and the championships run through Sunday.
