ABOUT THIS EVENING'S GAME: Bucknell enters this evening's contest with a 3-5 overall record. The Bison have not been in action for the past 10 days as the student-athletes took time out for finals. In their last competition, the Orange and Blue dropped its fifth straight loss in a 100-89 game at Canisius. LaSalle carries a 2-5 overall mark into tonight's contest after losing at Delaware, 83-66, on Tuesday. The Explorers two wins on the season have come over Pennsylvania (74-69) and Hofstra (54-48).
THE SERIES: LaSalle holds a slight lead in the series history, winning three games to Bucknell's one victory. The first time the two teams met was in December of 1981 when the Explorers exploded for a 90-41 win in Davis Gymnasium. Bucknell's lone win in the series came in December of 1997. The Bison hosted LaSalle and came away with a 65-63 victory. The following year, the two teams faced each other again, the last meeting prior to tonight, and the Explorers took a 68-56 victory on their home court.
SCOUTING LaSALLE: The Explorers are coming to Lewisburg trying to break out of a two-game slump. After beating Hofstra, 54-48, on Dec. 1, for its second win of the season, LaSalle has dropped two-straight to Marquette (63-54) and Delaware (83-66). The Explorers are led in scoring and rebounding by Beth Hudak. Hudak averages 13.9 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per contest. Suzanne Keilty, the hot player right now, is second on the squad with 11.5 points per game.
