Bucknell Men's Soccer Falls to Lehigh, 4-1

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Lehigh University scored three unanswered goals in the second half, and the Mountain Hawks came away with a 4-1 victory in Patriot League men's soccer action this afternoon.
With the loss Bucknell dropped to 3-7-0 and 0-3-0 in the Patriot League, while Lehigh improved to 9-2-0 and 3-1-0 in league play.
Lehigh, which hasn't lost to Bucknell since 1995, controlled the tempo of the game early, out-shooting the Bison 15-5 in the first half. However, the Bison went into halftime with the game tied at 1-1 on the strength of a Dennis DeLuca goal and six first-half saves from Steve Whitaker.
The Mountain Hawks wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Doug Cusick scored his sixth goal of the season off an assist from Evan Bruno just 3:39 into the match. DeLuca answered for the Bison with his first collegiate goal on a close-range shot in the 34th minute. Brian Johnson tallied the assist, the third of his career.
Lehigh broke open the 1-1 deadlock in the 56th minute when Dan Perciballi potted a header following passes from Wes Roach and Matt Weick. Just over 19 minutes later, Colin Marshall gave the Mountain Hawks a 3-1 advantage after scoring off a cross from Cusick. In the 83rd minute, Steve Fisher became the fourth different Lehigh player to score, as he drilled home an unassisted 15-footer from the left wing to set the final score at 4-1.
Whitaker ended up with eight saves between the pipes for Bucknell, while Ryan Grzeszczak made one stop in goal for the Mountain Hawks.
The Bison return to action on Tuesday when they host non-league opponent St. Francis (Pa.) at 3 p.m.
