Bucknell Men's Golf Places 12th at Day One of Stabler Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Bucknell University men's golf team completed day one of the Stabler Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University, at the Center Valley Club Course this afternoon. With a team score of 312, the Bison are tied with Robert Morris College for 12th place in the 20-team field following the opening 18 holes.
Senior Nick Leibowitz tied a season-low by shooting a 75, which places him in a 12-way tie for 17th place out of 99 golfers. He is only six strokes behind individual leader Bowen Osborn of Lehigh, who turned in a three-under par 69 for the opening round. Sophomore Charles Markey and freshman Tyler Braun were the next lowest finishers for the Bison, as the pair tied for 44th with a 78. Freshman Alex Dolle rounded out the team scoring with a 71st place, 81-stroke effort, and sophomore Scott Leeder shot an 86 to tie for 76th.
Bucknell will conclude tournament play tomorrow.
