A 2010 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado who earned a master’s degree in kinesiology from Louisiana Tech in May 2013, Aya Morioka joined the Bucknell sports medicine staff in 2013-14. She works with the Bison men's soccer and softball programs.
Morioka got her start in athletic training as an undergraduate, working with seven North Colorado programs and at a local high school. She logged nearly 1,700 clinical hours.
Morioka spent a year as an intern athletic trainer with the Louisiana Tech football and tennis teams before enrolling in a graduate program in the fall of 2011. She then spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the women’s soccer team.
