A native of Topsfield, Mass., Maya Martignetti is the daughter of Sandro and Kelly Martignetti. She graduated from the Governor’s Academy and joined the Bucknell women’s rowing team as a novice. Majoring in psychology and sociology, Maya graduated as a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the Bucknell University Dean’s list. Additionally, Martignetti was named a CRCA All-Region Scholar Athlete in 2015 and a CRCA National Scholar Athlete in 2016.
In her time on the Bucknell women’s rowing team, Maya was a member of four Patriot League Championship boats. As a freshman, she earned a silver medal in the Second Varsity Eight. As a sophomore, junior and senior, Maya raced in the Varsity Eight earning two silver medals and a fourth-place finish, respectively. Martignetti also earned a bronze in the Second Varsity Eight and the silver in the Varsity Eight at the Dad Vail Regatta in her freshman and junior season, respectively. Outside of rowing, Maya was a volunteer at the local middle school, and she served the rowing program as our NCAA Choices Committee class representative in her sophomore year.
