In 2023, Kirk's work with the infielders led to the Bison earning their Patriot League tournament bid since 2019. The infield was rock solid for the Bison collecting grounders and line drives, leading to the pitching staff posting a team ERA of 3.50.
Under Kirk's tutoring, converted outfielder to shortstop Chase Knapp earned Second Team All-Patriot League at the position. Noelle Gardon locked down the hot corner, regularly making spectacular plays. MaKenzie Hilling handled 291 chances for a .983 fielding percentage.
While at Ashland, Kirk served as both an offensive and defensive coach, helping to guide the Eagles to a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament appearance last spring.
Before that, she operated in the same role at Muskingum University during the 2019-20 academic year and served as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater, Ohio State, from 2017 to 2019. The Buckeyes reached the NCAA tournament each season that Kirk was on the staff.
Kirk found similar success as a four-year starter in the infield for the Buckeyes softball program, landing on the 2017 Big Ten All-Defensive Team and leading her squad to an NCAA tournament appearance as a senior. She also received OSU Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten recognition and was a 2017 Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree.
Kirk earned a bachelor's degree in sports industry from Ohio State in 2017.
Kirk is married to Holden Hamilton and recently added a son, KJ Hamilton, to her family.
