Wrestler BRYAN BURNS ‘91 was a three-time conference champion, a three-time NCAA qualifier, and an All-American in the 190-pound weight class as a senior in 1991. Burns captured East Coast Conference titles at 190 pounds in 1989 and 1990, and then he won the East Coast Wrestling Association championship in 1991. He won three matches at NCAAs in both 1990 and 1991, and his eighth-place finish in 1991 made him the second All-American in the history of the Bison wrestling program.

Burns helped lead Bucknell to runner-up team finishes at the ECC Championships in 1989 and 1990, and he went on to finish his career with an 81-30-1 individual record. He was ranked third on Bucknell's all-time wins list at the time of his graduation, and his 32 victories in 1990-91 was a school record at the time.
