A 2013 Bucknell graduate and four-year baseball letterwinner, Matt Busch is part of his alma mater’s baseball staff as a volunteer assistant coach while pursuing a master’s degree in college student personnel. He completed his third year with the Bison in 2016.
A Roseville, Minnesota, native, Busch appeared in 83 games, recorded 42 hits and scored 28 runs during his Bucknell career. He was a valuable two-year starter in the outfield who also served as a pinch runner.
Busch, a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll honoree, was a member of the Academic All-Patriot League Team as a senior and was part of Bucknell’s 2010 Patriot League Tournament championship and NCAA team.
Busch has coaching experience as a volunteer instructor at various Bucknell baseball camps the All-Star Baseball Academy in Pennsylvania, Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball Camps, Lovdahl Pitching Academy in Minnesota and with the Roseville, Minnesota, VFW.
Busch graduated from Bucknell in May 2013 with a degree in education and psychology and a minor in classics.
