Update from Head Wrestling Coach Dan Wirnsberger -- December 2024

Dear Bucknell Wrestling Alumni, Parents, and Friends,

First and foremost, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! As we wrap up the first semester, I want to recap our team’s progress and upcoming events. We're proud to announce that we currently have half the team ranked nationally, including:

Kurt Phipps, RS Sr., (133)
Dylan Chappell, RS Jr., (141)
Noah Mulvaney, So., (165)
Myles Takats, So., (174)
Dillon Bechtold, Fr., (197)

Our season began with a tough schedule against top-tier teams such as Maryland, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and we picked up a pair of wins over Kent State and Morgan State. Additionally, we competed in the highly competitive Navy Classic, putting eight guys on the podium at seven different weights. Our young but strong team benefits from these high-level matchups, helping us identify areas where we need to make adjustments as we prepare for the NCAA Championships in Philadelphia this March.

As we conclude our first semester with finals this week, here’s a look at our upcoming events for the second semester:
