Bucknell Wrestling Faithful,
Â
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with much time spent with family and friends! Our wrestlers are back in Lewisburg training and preparing for the challenges ahead.
Â
SOUTHERN SCUFFLE
The Bison are fresh off a program-record performance at the prestigious Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We came away with five place-winners and three finalists, and both Kurt Phipps (133-pounds) and Noah Mulvaney (165-pounds) were crowned champions in their respective brackets!
Â
ALUMNI MATCH, JAN. 19
Please plan to attend our alumni night match vs. Morgan State on Friday, January 19 at 7 pm. We are excited to welcome back all our former Bison Wrestlers! Following the dual we will host a social in downtown Lewisburg. More details will be provided soon. If you are planning to attend please email me directly at djw020@bucknell.edu.
Â
EIWA TOURNAMENT
It's not too late to reserve your tickets for the EIWA Championships March 8-9 here at Bucknell. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to host this prestigious event and show off our top-notch facilities. Please visit the Campus Box Office to reserve your tickets today.
Â
GRAPPLER CLUB SUPPORT
To continue this success on the mat, we need your help keeping pace in the rapidly changing college wrestling world. The student-athlete experience remains our top priority as we look to compete and travel throughout the country. Our endowment only covers a portion of our expenses and fundraising remains an important part of our organization. Our greatest expenses are team travel, equipment, recruiting, coaching salaries, and facility enhancements. Your support will help our program keep up in the world of competitive wrestling.
Â
Thank you to all of you who have supported our program. If you haven't yet, please consider making a financial gift today so we can continue offering our wrestlers this wonderful opportunity to combine elite academics and athletics.
Â
I hope to see many of you at one of our home events or on the road to support our team. In the meantime, please enjoy this video update featuring Kurt Phipps and Noah Mulvaney. Â
Â
Go Bison!
