Sarah Althouse Named to NFHCA 2026 Division I Watchlist

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Fresh off receiving Patriot League All-Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year, Sarah Althouse added another preseason honor with her selection to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) 2026 Division I Watchlist. She was one of 212 student-athletes to receive the designation. The Watchlist is intended to highlight returning and emerging standouts entering the 2026 season.

Bucknell's 2026 season opens tomorrow at Graham Stadium at Holmes Field with a contest versus Ball State and continues on Sunday when Sacred Heart visits.Â

The 2026 NFHCA Watchlist recognizes field hockey student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and are considered among those with strong potential for NFHCA All-Region and All-American consideration this season.
Student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches and must have earned qualifying field hockey recognition within the previous two years. Qualifying honors include NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-America, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, or selection to a U.S. National or international team roster.
Althouse has spent the past three seasons between the pipes and has established herself as one of the Patriot League's top goalkeepers. The senior has collected 25 wins, Second Team All-Patriot League honors in 2024 and 2025, and owns a career 1.57 goals-against average - ninth-best in Patriot League history.
