Bucknell Football Announces Three Promotional Events for 2026

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell football announces three promotional events for the 2026 season. The Bison will host its annual Family Fun Fest, two football luncheons and a Bucknell tailgate at Pitt.
Football Family Fun Fest

Bucknell Football Luncheons
Dates: Monday, Aug. 24 / Monday, Oct. 12

Location: Bull Run Tap House
Cost: $20 (general public) / $15 (Gridiron or Bison Club members)
Bucknell Tailgate at Pitt
Date: Saturday, Sept. 26
Time: 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Location: Great Lawn, North Shore Drive (directly adjacent to Acrisure Stadium)
Cost: $40 for adults (18+) / $20 for youth (11-17) / Free for children 0-10
First up for Bucknell's events is the annual Bucknell Football Family Fun Fest this Saturday, Aug. 22, at Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium. The event is hosted by Bucknell football players, coaches and cheerleaders. It will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and is free to all attendees. Children in eighth grade and younger can take part in football-related games and activities with Bison student-athletes on the field. All children attending will receive a coupon for free popcorn from the concession stand, as well as an autographed team photo. Children can also win a pair of tickets to Bucknell's Sept. 5 home opener by completing the activity stations and turning in their signed sheet. The Bucknell cheerleaders will have a learn-to-cheer and face-painting area. There will also be tours of the Bucknell football locker room, opportunities to take photos with players and cheerleaders, and a chance to make a radio play-by-play call in the press box.
The next promotional event on the calendar for Bucknell football is the first of two scheduled luncheons at Bull Run Tap House in downtown Lewisburg. At the football luncheons, head coach Jeff Behrman, alongside Bison football student-athletes, will address the community and answer questions over lunch. The first luncheon will be Monday, Aug. 24, at noon, followed by a second luncheon Monday, Oct. 12, at noon. The cost is $20 per person for the general public and $15 per person for Gridiron or Bison Club members. Payment can be made by cash or check upon arrival at Bull Run.
The third promotional event announced by Bucknell football is a tailgate for the Bucknell-Pitt game Saturday, Sept. 26. Prior to the noon kickoff, Bison Athletics and the Bucknell Club of Pittsburgh will host a pregame tailgate on the Great Lawn on North Shore Drive, directly adjacent to Acrisure Stadium and along the Ohio River. Bison fans can enjoy food from Mission BBQ, as well as nonalcoholic beverages, beer and wine available for purchase. The event runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and costs $40 for adults (18 and older), $20 for youth (ages 11-17) and is free for children ages 10 and younger. Bison fans can register for the tailgate and secure game tickets in the Bucknell section (Sections 102-107) by visiting the ticketing link that will appear once their tailgate tickets have been purchased.
