LEWISBURG, Pa.- The three-day Bison Outdoor Classic concluded on Monday with the heptathlon's final three events: long jump, javelin, and 800-meter run. Three Bucknell athletes competed in the event and all three finished in the top seven.Â
Results
Madeline Lehker led the way for the Bison effort, finishing fourth with 4140 points. She missed the Bucknell top ten by 55 points. Her third place finish in the long jump, soaring 17-3.25, was her best result on Monday. The senior slotted fifth in the 800-meter run and seventh in the javelin throw.Â
Freshman Allie DeMatt placed sixth with 4035 points. The rookie's best Monday event arrived in the javelin throw.  She tossed a personal best 97-7 on the same West Fields where yesterday US National Champion Evelyn Bliss set the facility, meet, and school record while throwing the seventh-best mark in American history. Clearly, some of the magic still lingered.Â
Sophomore Megan Cain rounded out the Bison trio, slotting seventh with 3993 points. Cain set a personal record in the 800-meter run, galloping 2:29.68.Â
Bucknell heads to Rutgers this weekend for the ECAC-IC4A Championships' first regular season appearance.Â
