Donner's DebriefingÂ
"This was a very good weekend for our entire program and I felt we were a great fit at a great meet with some very good programs. The facility was fantastic. We accomplished much at this meet with many PRs and season-best marks across all the event groups. It is always nice getting on a banked track to prepare for Boston in three weeks. Now we can regroup with a nice weekend off and do some quality training to prepare for the league championships."
Alexandra Lea placed fourth in the highly competitive 400-meter dash invitational, logging 54.81. The time reset her third place slot in Bucknell's record book from her previous speed of 54.91. She now ranks second place in the Patriot League and tenth in the Mid-Atlantic region.Â
Shaelan McNally earned seventh in the mile run invitational but accomplished an even greater prize. Her time of 4:49.32 moved her into second place at Bucknell, only trailing the legendary Christine Bendzinski.Â
Piper Portacio finished 27th in the 200-meter dash but her time of 25.26 improved upon her tenth-best mark in Bucknell history.Â
Kailey Granger slotted fifth in the 3000-meter run invitational, recording a time of 9:48.38. Kerry O'Day placed seventh, logging a personal record time of 9:52.06. Caryn Rippey finished eighth, registering 9:59.23.Â
The 4x400-meter relay "A" Team of Madeline Sipe, Raygan Lust, Portacio, and Alison Cooke earned eighth. The foursome combined for a time of 3:55.29.Â
Cooke placed third in the unseeded 400-meter dash, running 57.71.
Katrina Torelli set a personal record in the unseeded 800-meter run. The middle-distance runner raced 2:15.19 to finish ninth.Â
Bucknell will rest next weekend before hosting the annual Bison Tuneup on Feb. 20.Â
