Men's Soccer to Host Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday Night

The Bucknell men's soccer team is back at Emmitt Field on Tuesday to host Mount St. Mary's for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Bison begin a four-match home stand where they will also face two Patriot League opponents and a strong Cornell squad that has been in and out of the national rankings.

Bucknell is coming off of two conference losses to Boston U. and American, two of the league-leaders through four Patriot League matches.

Mount St. Mary's is coming off of two straight 1-1 draws in conference play against Canisius and Merrimack. The Mount are unbeaten in their last six matches with a 2-0-4 record.

The Mount drew with Saint Joseph's 1-1, who the Bison beat 2-1. They also tied Navy 0-0 and fell to Loyola (Md.) 3-0, who the Bison will face later this season.

The Patriot League has struggled to get results in non-conference action as all teams have combined for a 10-35-21 record out of conference. Bucknell and Navy are the only teams with multiple non-conference wins.

Bucknell sits in sixth in the Patriot League table and tied on four points with Loyola (Md.). Boston U. leads the league with 12 points followed by Lehigh with 10 points. American has seven points, and Colgate and Lafayette have five points.

Last Time Out for the Bison
- Bucknell fell 2-0 to American on the road at Reeves Field on Saturday.
- The Bison had the better of opportunities in the first half, but American found the opening goal on a corner just before the half ended.
- American doubled the lead early into the second half, and the Eagles performed well defensively to not allow any clear chances for the Bison.
- Bucknell has played a fierce non-conference schedule early in the season. The Bison fell to three strong opponents in Hofstra, Pitt and Old Dominion, all of whom have spent time in the polls. Old Dominion is 8-3 and ranks 23rd in the latest polls, and Pitt is 6-2-2 and ranks 10th. Hofstra ranked 20th at the start of the season when they faced the Bison.
- Bucknell is looking healthy again after missing key players through the first three matches. Lucas, Roskos and Bejarano played their first action of the season against ODU after all three of them missed the first three matches. Jakub Samelko also returned to the squad against Fordham. Roskos, Lucas and Samelko combined for 16 goals and four assists in 2025.
- The Bison have struggled to produce goals, scoring eight times in 10 matches. Opponents have shut out the Bison in five matches.
- After leading the league in 2025 in shots and shots on target, Bucknell ranks seventh in the league in both categories. Â
- Bucknell's two leading goal scorers from 2025, Drew Roskos and Jack Lucas, each have a goal since their return. Junior Cade Whitmire and senior Mason Lillis each have a goal. Freshmen Chayse Snyder, Hamish Riddell and Viktor Permyashkin also have one goal each.
- Riddell, Roskos and Permyashkin lead the team with three points on a goal and an assist.
- Junior forward Drew Roskos is the reigning Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, and he was voted as the 2026 Patriot League Preseason Forward of the Year. Senior Jack Lucas was voted as the Patriot League Preseason Defender of the Year.
- Colin Findlay and Noah Handzel lead the Bison with two assists each.
- Colin Findlay and Viktor Permyashkin are both from central Pennsylvania. Permyashkin is a Lewisburg native, and becomes the first Lewisburg graduate to play for Bucknell. Findlay is from Selinsgrove, just 20 minutes south of Lewisburg. Findlay's mother, Chrissy, is a former Bucknell women's soccer coach, and his father, Jim, served as the head coach at Susquehanna University for 28 years. Chayse Snyder is from Mechanicsburg, just 90 minutes from Lewisburg.
- Bucknell has 19 returning players on the 2025 squad. Bucknell's freshman class includes six players: Hamish Riddell, Max Walsh, Marcelo Ojeda, Viktor Permyashkin, Chayse Snyder and Grant Brokaw. The Bison also brought in junior transfers, Colin Findlay and Jack Bejarano.
- Dave Brandt is Bucknell's 14th full-time head coach and just the third dating back to 1967. Brandt, who is now in his fifth season at Bucknell, has a remarkable career record of 377-123-56 in stints at Bucknell, Messiah, Navy, and Hope. Brandt won six Division III national championships at Messiah and led Navy to the 2013 Patriot League title and an NCAA Tournament first-round win. Â
- Bucknell got off to a hot start in 2025, but struggled to get results in conference play down the final stretch of the season. The Bison ultimately fell to Boston U. on the road 3-1 in the first round of the Patriot League tournament.
- Bucknell had a knack for comebacks last season as the Bison went 4-3-1 in matches they had trailed in during the regular season.
- The Bison also scored in the final 16 minutes in eight of its 18 matches, and they scored a goal in the final five minutes in five matches.
- Bucknell senior class in 2025 combined for eight goals and seven assists last season.
- The Bison ranked third in the Patriot League with 29 goals for and ranked second with 1.611 goals per game.
- The Bison also led the league with 232 shots and 6.33 shots on target per game.
- Defensively, the Bison ranked third in the league with eight clean sheets, and seven of those clean sheets came in Patriot League action.

- The Mount has scored 13 goals in 10 matches. They scored just once through the first five matches but have scored 12 goals in the last five matches.
- Mount St. Mary's has conceded 13 goals, and goalkeepers have kept a .698 save percentage. Ryan Collins has played and started nine matches with a .675 save percentage. He has faced 128 shots and made 27 saves.
- Lincoln Bauer leads the team with 11 points on three goals and five assists. Bauer nearly has a point per game average in his freshman season.
- Christian Kyriacou and Daniel Morales Silva each have three goals in a tie for the team-lead.
- Abou Cherif has two goals, and Camden Marquette and Oliver Barta has one goal this season. Oliver Jorgensen and Noah Kaiser both have two assists.
- Mount St. Mary's leads the all-time series 8-7-1 over the Bison dating back to 1993. The two sides have faced off every year since 2021, and the Bison are 3-1-1 in those five matches. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw in Emmitsburg last season.
- Drew Roskos scored the opening goal in the match last season, but The Mount equalized just a minute later.
- Bucknell continues its home stand with a Patriot League match against Holy Cross on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Emmitt Field. Â
