BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Goalkeeper Sarah Althouse recorded her program-record 32nd win as both Ryane Fisahn and Elodie Nevitt scored goals to help Bucknell (7-7, 2-4 Patriot League) gut out a 2-1 victory over Lehigh (1-14, 0-5 Patriot League) on Friday night in the 53rd edition of the Keystone Clash. The Bison have now won three straight games and maintained their slim Patriot League Tournament hopes.Â
Althouse's 32nd win broke her tie with Maureen Breslin (1995-98) and Sonja Wettergreen (1999-02) for most victories in program history. The Bison goalkeeper's record-breaking win wasn't her most impressive statistical accomplishment with only two saves, but the outcome was to the senior's liking.Â
"It truly means so much to me, I wouldn't have been able to earn that without my teammates and coaches," Althouse said. "It's a statement to how much work we all put in and where this program is moving. I'm so excited to have my name at the top of the record book, it's a great and exciting way to close out my field hockey career!"
Lehigh entered the game as a defensively vulnerable team and the Bison were quick to exploit that weakness, outshooting Lehigh 16-5 and generating seven penalty corners to the Mountain Hawks' three.Â
Bucknell opened the scoring 24 seconds into the second quarter via an attacking penalty corner. Bella Notaro inserted the ball to Sally Hunter. The Bison midfielder fired a shot into the circle. Senior forward Ryane Fisahn deftly directed the speeding sphere into the goal for the tally.Â
The Bison had several more scoring opportunities throughout the game but could not break through for a pivotal insurance goal until late in the final stanza. Lehigh pulled its goalkeeper for the woman-up advantage and the Bison pounced on the chance. Gracie Kothari, a ballhawk, intercepted a Lehigh pass and sent the sphere into the circle. A Mountain Hawk and Elodie Nevitt both went for the ball. Nevitt outdueled her opponent and poked it home.Â
"It was a perfect ball from Gracie into the defense, and I was able to step in front of my defender, get a touch to deflect it in and finish," Nevitt said.
The extra goal proved extremely important, as Lehigh answered two minutes later. The Mountain Hawks' goal was eerily similar to Colgate's equalizer last Friday night. The attempt was from outside the shooting circle, but a stray stick deviated the ball into the cage.Â

Late-game goals have been a frustrating trend for the Bison this season. For the second straight game, Bucknell maintained possession and prevented any late minute heroics.Â
Bucknell completes its regular-season schedule next Tuesday in the Susquehanna Showdown when Lock Haven journeys down I-80 to Lewisburg.ÂPlayers Mentioned
