Reese Czajkowski Earns Bison of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Reese Czajkowski supplied two goals last weekend for Bucknell field hockey against top-flight opponents to win her first Bison of the Week, as announced Monday by the Bucknell athletic department.

Last Friday night against reigning Patriot League champion Lafayette, Czajkowski scored the game's opening goal with a fiery shot past the Leopards' ace goalkeeper to give the Bison a 1-0 lead that held up until late in the fourth period.

On Sunday, Czajkowski spread out the field to lead the Bison to a 4-0 victory over Michigan State for the Orange & Blue's first win over a Big Ten opponent since 2016. She added an insurance goal in the fourth quarter when she collected a pass and drove the length of the field. She attempted a pass into the circle which the Spartans deflected back to her. Czajkowski decided to finish the job herself and maneuvered past multiple Spartans to deposit the sphere into the cage.

Czajkowksi's five goals are tied with Kira Leclercq for the team lead and rank top five in the conference.

Bucknell welcomes Holy Cross this Saturday for a pivotal conference clash.
