Men's Cross Country Places Second at the Lehigh Open

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Bucknell men's cross country started the 2025 season at the Lehigh Open and delivered a spark for the upcoming campaign, finishing second. The Bison narrowly edged Villanova for second place scoring 56 points to the Wildcats' 57. The race course was 6k.
Results
St. Joseph won the competition with 43 points. They were followed by Bucknell and their fellow Philadelphia school. Host Lehigh won fourth with 107 points. A second Bethlehem school Moravian slotted fifth (114) and DeSales finished last with 160 points.
"Solid first meet for the men," said head coach Kevin Donner. "Obviously, we were hoping for the win, but St. Joe's ran a great second half of the race. The intent today was to get a good feel of the course since we will be back here for leagues and regionals and we accomplished just that. Back to work with a nice long run tomorrow."
Henry Didden was projected as the 2025 Bison's best runner and the senior delivered with a scintillating time of 18:18.5, finishing fourth. The speed ranks his personal best in the 6k category, breaking his previous performance of 19:02.9 at the 2023 Harry Lang Invitational.
Ethan Pratt-Perez built upon his fabulous freshman campaign with a seventh-place finish. The sophomore sensation ran 18:21. The time also represented his best mark on a 6k course.
Trent Dinant narrowly missed entry into the top ten, finishing 11th with a time of 18:24.9. His time marked the third Bison runner who set a personal best for the 6k.
Bucknell's fourth scorer Jayson Harmer darted 18:39.1 to finish 18th. He set a new personal best in the 6k by 14 seconds.
Grant Kern rounded out the Bison scoring with his 21st place finish. The senior runner ran 18:42.4 – 15 seconds superior to his previous best time.
