
O'Neill, Dunn, Adelmann and Facinelli Honored with PL All-League Selections

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Tyler O'Neill and Tyler Dunn added to their impressive careers for the Bucknell baseball team with First Team All-Patriot League selections as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Sophomore Jonathan Adelmann and junior Ryan Facinelli joined the pair of seniors with Second Team All-Patriot League selections.
This was the second All-League selections for both Dunn and O'Neill, who had previously been Second Team All-Patriot League picks in 2022 and 2024, respectively. Adelmann and Facinelli both received their first All-Patriot League honors with Facinelli getting an at-large selection.
O'Neill and Dunn have had a major impact on the program over the past four years and will have their names scattered among the Bucknell record books. This year, both seniors had their best seasons yet in the Orange and Blue.
O'Neill finished the season with a career-low 3.14 ERA in 12 starts on the mound, ranking second in the Patriot League. O'Neill led the league with 83.0 innings pitched and an opponent-low .210 average. His 68 strikeouts ranked third in the league. Against the PL foes, O'Neill had a 2.48 ERA.
On Bucknell's career records list, O'Neill ranks third with 225 strikeouts and ranks 10th with 7.47 strikeouts per nine innings. O'Neill also ranks 15th with 51 appearances, third with 41 games started and third with 271.1 innings pitched.
O'Neill tossed three complete games this season against Saint Joseph's, Lehigh and Lafayette. O'Neill pitched at least six innings in each of his last 10 starts, and allowed three earned runs or less in seven games.
Dunn, a four-year starter at first base, was a constant threat at the plate this season. He slashed .325/.492/.503, leading the team in all categories. He was second on the team with 41 hits and 10 doubles. He hit three home runs and had 30 RBIs.
Dunn drew a league-leading 41 walks to tie Bucknell's single-season record. His .503 on-base percentage led the league and his .985 OPS ranked third. Among Division I programs, Dunn's 41 walks ranked 45th, his 1.08 walks per game ranked sixth, and his on-base percentage ranked 39th.
Dunn was excellent at first base, sporting a .993 fielding percentage with only two errors. He finished his career with an impressive .992 fielding percentage.
Dunn finished his career with his name plastered on Bucknell's career records. He ranks seventh in games played (178), seventh in games started (169), seventh in at-bats (626), 15th in hits (173), 13th in RBIs (112), second in walks (100), sixth in hit-by-pitches (25), 15th in doubles (33), and fourth in sacrifice flies (10).
Adelmann had an exceptional sophomore campaign out of the bullpen as Bucknell's main closer. Adelmann had five saves this season, tied for ninth in Bucknell history for a single season. His 21 appearances rank second for a single season.
Adelmann tossed 34.0 innings over the 21 appearances. The lengthy right-hander had an incredible 2.68 ERA. He allowed just 10 earned runs on the season and only allowed a run in three of his appearances. In 34.0 innings, he struck out 46 batters and allowed 22 walks. He allowed just three extra-base hits and no home runs. In just two seasons, Adelmann has racked up an impressive 93 strikeouts in 71.1 innings.
Facinelli enjoyed a strong junior season as Bucknell's designated hitter. He slashed .253/.383/.399 and was fourth on the team with 39 hits. His 25 RBIs were third-most on the team.
Facinelli had 14 extra-base hits and ranked sixth in the league with two triples. He drew 29 walks, ranking ninth in the league.
Bucknell finished the season with an 18-27 record, finishing in fifth in the Patriot League with a 10-15 record.
