CSC Release
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Popella, an Early Childhood Education major, provided the pop for the Bison attack. The sophomore shortstop batted .286 with nine doubles, one triple, and a team-leading three home runs. Her 27 RBIs and 60 total bases paced the team. Popella will enter 2026 as one of the Patriot League's most experienced and potent bats.Â
Radican graduated this past month from Bucknell with a double degree in Political Science & History. The senior batter held down the keystone position with a smooth .975 average. Radican was profiled in Bucknell's Tales from the Herd series for her Renaissance woman style career which has included service in South Africa and work with a local judge.Â
Roukey recently graduated from Bucknell with a Markets, Innovation and Design degree while dotting the Bucknell record book in multiple categories: fifth in appearances (105), seventh in shutouts (9), ninth in saves (2) and strikeouts (225), and tenth in starts (61) and wins (25). The senior pitcher twice won Patriot League Pitcher of the Week this season: Feb. 24 and April 14.Â
Speicher, a Business Analytics major, set the tone as Bucknell's leadoff hitter, batting a team-high .296. The swift junior used her speed to collect three triples and swipe four bases. Speicher earned Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and proved worthy of the designation, tracking down 71 putouts.Â
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 18. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
