Hartman 6-Under Through 36 Holes, Men’s Golf Team in 8th at Testudo Cup

RESULTS
IJAMSVILLE, Md. – Freshman Jack Hartman carded back-to-back 3-under-par 69s to lead the Bucknell men's golf team on day one of the Testudo Cup, hosted by Maryland at the P.B. Dye Golf Club. At 6-under for the tournament, Hartman is one shot behind the Terrapins Yang Kuang for the individual lead, and the Bison are in eighth place in a field of 14 teams with 18 holes remaining on Sunday.
After compiling an 11-over 299 in the opening round, Bucknell followed with a 1-under 287 in the afternoon. Hartman was the low Bison in both rounds. He made four birdies in the morning, and then in the afternoon he started birdie-birdie, survived a three-hole stretch that included a bogey and a double-bogey, and then finished with two eagles and a birdie over his final five holes.
Kuang is 7-under after rounds of 70-67. Three players are tied for third at 4-under, and 14 players are under par through 36 holes.
Each of Bucknell's other four starters improved by at least three strokes from round one to round two. James Robbins shot 76-73, Michael Rudnick carded 77-72, Patrick Pritsios posted 77-73, and James Key shot 80-77. Robbins also had an eagle in round two at the par-5 16th.
Maryland compiled an 11-under 277 team tally in round two and leads the tournament at 10-under 566. Delaware is 12 strokes back at 578, followed by FDU at Mount St. Mary's at 580. Bucknell at 586 is one shot behind seventh-place Manhattan and just six shots outside the top three.
The third and final round is set for Sunday morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Bucknell will play with Manhattan and Binghamton, starting on holes 8-10.
